There are loads of ways to get involved in Ladywell Neighbourhood Network. This is YOUR network and YOU can help make it bigger and better for everyone. Here are some of the ways in which you can help us:
Volunteering is a great way to develop skills, build confidence and make a difference. We value every one of our volunteers at Ladywell Neighbourhood Network and provide training, support and supervision to anyone kind enough to commit any of their time to helping their community.
Our dedicated volunteers are essential to providing the services we offer and we can always find new activities to keep our volunteers busy. PVG scheme membership is required for some volunteer posts.
Here are some of our volunteer opportunities:
Growing Together Gardening Team
This is a group of dedicated volunteers who assist those who are elderly or unable to manage their gardens. They tidy up, cut grass, trim bushes, paint fences and generally undertake any gardening tasks they feel they are able to do in order to help individuals with their gardens. They are also happy to work with clients who want to learn but just need some support with their gardens.
We are currently in need for volunteers to join this team so we can provide the service to more people. Training and supervision will be given. If this interests you, please get in touch via social media, telephone or email.
Other Groups:
Volunteers are always welcome for our weekly groups, especially those who are interested in the subject of the group to assist with the planning and running of it. You can see which groups are currently running here.
Other:
We also have volunteers who donate their time by making quizzes for our service users, help us organise our community shop, tidy up our knitting and craft supplies and much more. If you feel that you can offer anything with your time then please do get in touch via social media, telephone or email. We'd love to hear from you!
